The DF5A outboard engine demonstrates Suzuki’s commitment to bringing the benefits of advanced and fuel-efficient 4-stroke technology to small engine users. Performance is ensured by a single-cylinder OHV engine with 138 cc displacement, the largest displacement in the class up to 6 HP. The large displacement and low weight ensure good acceleration values ​​across the entire speed range. The DF5A is equipped with a special fuel filling system that ensures easy engine starting after storage. This sophisticated system means that it is not necessary to pre-pump the fuel from the tank into the carburettor. In addition to many other highlights for improved smooth running, fuel savings and good response, the operation of the tilting system impresses with its high level of comfort. With just a few simple steps and little effort, it is possible to lower the outboard motor from the tilted trim position back into the water. The tiller handle is mounted on the steering console, allowing the operator to sit far forward, improving weight distribution in the boat. Other features include 180 degree steering, which offers good maneuverability even in shallow water. The built-in 1.0 liter fuel tank ensures a long range and the large carrying handles and low weight make transporting the outboard motor easier. Transporting or storing the outboard motor is also made much easier thanks to the option of 3-way storage. These Suzuki engines can also be used on Lake Constance and meet the American & European EU.
